Rostest-USA is authorized to authenticate a product, or services current "certifications" issued by a recognized international testing facility (USA, Germany, France, Canada, China, England, etc.) in order to issue the correct GOST-R & Russian Health Ministry certification appropriate for import in Russia and in most cases the Russian Federation.

Rostest-USA is the only company outside of Russia licensed to issue Russian Gosgortekhnadzor (GGTN), licenses/permits.

CERTIFIFICATION:

Russian laws are very specific regarding licensing on both the federal and local levels – including, but not limited to fire safety and electromagnet discharge.
Today, an exporter of goods, or services to Russia has no one specific entity to turn to to streamline their cerfifications. Many rely their customs broker, freight forwarder, or shipping company who in turn most likely hires an agent, usually based in Moscow, to process their certifications – this is both time consuming and costly as all paperwork is processed in Moscow, and prices are inflated to cover the cost of these middle-men.

• The Russian certification system does not recognize most foreign quality standards and certificates.
• European and American quality certificates need to be authenticated and reconfirmed by several Russian certification agencies.
• Fees for registration and licensing in Russia are much higher than those for comparable procedures in other countries.
• There is neither published information available nor a common policy on pricing. It is quite possible for one foreign company seeking product certification to pay $10,000 for the service, while another is charged $20,000 for exactly the same process.
