Medical/Hygienic What Must be Certified
In accordance with Russian legislation, the following types of products are subject to mandatory hygienic certification:
- Food products, natural or processed; bottled drinking water; liquor, wine, beer, soft drinks; chewing gum; food raw materials, food supplements and biologically active additives.
- Goods for children: games, toys, cloths, bedding, footwear, teaching aids, stationary, furniture, bags and backpacks, strollers, polymer and synthetic materials for children's goods.
- Materials, equipment and substances used in water supply systems.
- Perfumes, cosmetics, items for oral hygiene.
- Chemical and petrochemical products for industrial use, domestic chemicals.
- Polymer and synthetic materials for construction and transport industries; for furniture production and domestic use; chemical threads and fibers; textile materials with chemical fibers and textile additives;.artificial and synthetic leathers and materials for footwear.
- Machines and tools for industrial, medical and domestic use.
- Poly graphy products: textbooks, manuals, brochures for schools and colleges, books and magazines for children.
- Products made of natural materials that have been subjected to treatment with dies, impregnators, ionizing radiation, etc.
- Materials for items that come into contact with people's skin.
- Products that are a source of, or generate, ionizing radiation, as well as goods containing radioactive substances.
- Construction raw and prefabricated materials which may have radioactive sun stances, including refuse for recycling and scrap metal.
- Moving transportation means and products for transportation purposes.
- Disinfectants, disinfectants and deratization products for domestic use, for use at medical facilities and other facilities in order to secure health and safety of people (except those used in veterinary).
- Individual protection means.
- Tobacco products and raw materials.
- Pesticides and agrochemicals
- Materials that come into contact with food stuff.
List of documents:
- Manufacturer's Safety Declaration;
- Official Safety Certificate of the manufacturer's country;
- Protocols of tests (if available);
- Samples for sanitary-epidemiological tests;
- Technical specifications and usage manuals, other available documents on the composition and utilization terms;
- For foods, perfumes, cosmetics, oral hygiene means, domestic chemical - samples or designs of the labels;
- Contract or information on the contract for the shipment.
- The documents of the country of origin must be presented to the Russian certification authorities translated into Russian and properly authenticated.
- The duration of testing varies depending on the type of product but does not exceed 2 months.
- The certificate is issued for a term of 5 years. For a pilot batch - up to 1 year.
